The Millenium Development Goals (MDGs) present a huge challenge to developing countries and development agencies.  We aim to support our partners to make progress towards the MDGs: a core objective of our company is to contribute to poverty reduction and to improve livelihoods. 

GYA has worked on poverty reduction and improving livelihoods in many countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the fomer Soviet Union. 

Our work is in four main areas:

• Identifying new livelihood options (often related to sustainable natural resource use) and facilitating uptake of innovative ideas and approaches
• Institutional development & capacity building
• Supporting the production of poverty reduction strategies
• Poverty and social impact analysis
