My main career is currently as a scientist at Rothamsted Research where I am pursuing research into the dynamics and of organic materials in agricultural soils, understanding and simulating the processes, and developing experimental methods to verify the mechanisms.
My work spans from the fundamental (a line of research initiated by GYA Research Director, John Gaunt), to the more applied (for example, the influence of resource quality on soil processes in the tropical environment, and in volcanic soils). I contribute to GYAs ongoing Defra funded resear. ,I contribute expertise in "Active-C" through Rothamsted Research.

Working directly for GYA I am able to exploit my interests in systems-thinking, economics, application of science, and graphic design. I act as the link between soil and social scientists to database and web-developers, in the development of GYAs exciting new VMS products.
