I have a particular expertise in environmental technology and business strategy. For the past five years I was Managing Director of an environmental services company and prior to this I worked as Strategy Director for Anglian Water (and a member of their Sustainability committee). I spent six years with the Centre for Exploitation of Science and Technology (CEST), working with Government, the Science base and industry to accelerate the uptake of technological advances in environmental protection, cleaner farming, genetic manipulation and functional foods as well as contributing to the launch of new concepts in knowledge transfer such as The Faraday Programme. I have a DPhil in Agricultural Science, a BSc (Hons) in Agricultural and Environmental Science, a Diploma in Marketing and recently achieved Chartered Director status with the Institute of Directors.
