I have a doctorate in psychology and, over the past 20 years, in the course of my academic career, work as a consultant and involvement with NGOs, have developed skills and expertise in projects, programmes and organisations in a variety of countries. I have particular expertise in the areas of:
• Social impact assessment.
• Public participation and community development.
• Programme evaluation.
• Organisational development.
• Gender issues.

Examples of work that I have undertaken for GYA include social impact assessment of the effects of developing the Nigerian mining sector and playing a key role in a social and environmental impact assessment to Equator Principle standards for a proposed mining project in Kazakhstan.
